Tradition Passed Down Through Generations
This sauce holds a special place in our family’s history and
has been a beloved staple since the 1960s. The recipe was first discovered by
Grandma Syble, who learned it while working at a small-town diner that has
since closed its doors. She prepared the sauce so frequently and with such
skill that she soon committed it to memory.
Sunday Suppers and Family Gatherings
Every Sunday, Grandma Syble would make this dip at home to
accompany the shrimp and fries she lovingly fried for the family. This
tradition began when my dad was just a young boy and continued well into his
adulthood. The sauce became an essential part of our Sunday suppers, always
enhancing the meals and bringing everyone together.
A Recipe That Stands the Test of Time
Now, four generations later, our family continues to enjoy
this treasured sauce at every fish fry and special occasion. Over the years,
everyone who has tasted it has encouraged us to bottle this “family secret.” We
are thrilled to finally share it, so that others can enjoy it on any occasion,
just as our family has for decades.
